FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is an indoor golf simulator?
An indoor golf simulator lets you play or practice golf inside, using real clubs and real golf balls.
When you hit a shot, our launch monitors capture the ball and club data, then the software shows your shot on the big screen in real time. You can play virtual courses, use the driving range, work on your numbers, or just have a fun hit with friends.

Do I need to be good at golf?
Not at all.
Fore Seasons is for everyone — complete beginners, casual golfers, serious players, work groups and social groups.

Indoor golf is a relaxed, pressure-free way to try the game. There are no groups waiting behind you, no lost balls, and no need to walk a full course. You don’t need a handicap, golf membership or any previous simulator experience — just come in and have a go.

Can children use the simulators?
Yes, children are welcome.
Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times. For safety, only one person should be in the hitting area when someone is swinging.

Is it safe?
Yes, as long as everyone follows basic golf safety.
Only one person should swing at a time, and players must make sure nobody is standing nearby before hitting. Please keep spectators and children clear of the hitting area.

Do I need golf shoes?
No. Normal clean sneakers or sports shoes are fine.
If you wear golf shoes, please make sure they are clean and have soft spikes only.

PLAYING & PRACTICE

Can I play a round of golf on the simulators?
Yes. You can play full rounds, quick 9-hole rounds, closest-to-the-pin challenges, driving range sessions and other game formats.
All of our bays have FSX Play and GSPro, giving you access to a huge range of virtual courses and practice options.

Can you putt on the simulators?
Yes. You can putt on the simulators, and putting is included when you play a round of golf.
It does take a little getting used to, especially judging pace on longer putts, but it’s part of the simulator golf experience. For casual play, groups can also choose to use gimmes or auto-putt settings to keep the game moving.

Can I use the golf simulators for practice?
Absolutely.
Fore Seasons is a great place to practise because you get instant feedback after every shot. You can work on distance control, ball flight, club delivery, wedge numbers, shot shape, or just get in some quality reps without worrying about weather, daylight or chasing balls around a range.

What technology do you use?
At Fore Seasons, we use Foresight launch monitors — one of the most trusted names in golf simulator technology.
Our Premium Bays use overhead GCHawk launch monitors, while our Standard Bays use GC3 launch monitors. Both provide accurate ball flight feedback and are great for play, practice and improvement.

How accurate are the launch monitors?
Very accurate. Foresight launch monitors, trusted across the golf industry for coaching, club fitting, practice and simulator play.
Outdoor testing of Foresight’s GCQuad found carry distances averaged within 1-2 metres of actual carry.

No launch monitor is perfect, and real-world distance can still be affected by wind, temperature, ball type and strike, but for normal play, practice and coaching, the data gives you reliable feedback on your shots.

What software do the bays use?
All of our bays have FSX Play and GSPro.
That gives you a huge range of course, range and practice options, whether you’re here for serious training or a social round with mates.

Can left-handed golfers play?
Yes, but bay choice matters.
Our Premium Bays are the best option for left-handed golfers or mixed right and left-handed groups, because they use overhead GCHawk launch monitors.
Standard Bay 7 can also be used by both right and left-handed golfers, while Standard Bays 6, 8 and 9 are right-hand only.

BOOKINGS, BAYS AND EQUIPMENT

Is the price per person or per bay?
Our prices are per bay, not per person.
That means you book the bay for your chosen time, then share that time with the people in your group, up to the bay limit.

What’s the difference between a Standard Bay and a Premium Bay?
Standard Bays are smaller bays, best suited for up to 2 players. They use Foresight GC3 launch monitors. Bays 6, 8 and 9 are right-hand only, while Bay 7 can be used by both right and left-handed golfers.

Premium Bays are larger and better suited for groups of up to 4 players. They use overhead Foresight GCHawk launch monitors, which allow seamless right and left-handed play and offer more detailed club and ball data. All bays have access to FSX Play and GSPro.

If you have a larger group, you can book multiple bays or talk to us about a group booking.

How long should I book for?
It depends on how many people are playing and how familiar you are with simulator golf.
As a rough guide, one player can usually play 18 holes in around an hour.
Two players will often need around 1.5 to 2 hours, while a group of 3–4 players will usually want 2–3 hours.

If you’re new to the simulators, playing socially, or want time for drinks and warm-up, we recommend booking a little extra time.

Should I arrive early?
Yes, we recommend arriving a few minutes before your booking so you can get settled, grab a drink, sort clubs if needed, and be ready to start on time.
Bookings run to time, especially when another group is booked after you.

Can I extend my booking?
Usually, yes — as long as the bay is not booked straight after you.
Just check with staff before your session ends and we’ll do our best to help.

Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?
You’re welcome to bring your own clubs, and we recommend it if you have them.
If you don’t have clubs, we have hire sets available, including men’s, women’s, kids, right-handed and left-handed options.
Adult sets are $20 and kids’ sets are $10.

Do I need to bring golf balls?
No, we provide golf balls for use in the bays.

GROUPS, DRINKS & MEMBERSHIPS

Do you serve drinks?
Yes. We have a fully licensed bar on site, so you can enjoy a drink before, during or after your session.
Fore Seasons is set up for both golf and socialising, with seating areas, simulator bays and space for groups to relax between shots.

Can I hire Fore Seasons for an event?
Absolutely.
Fore Seasons is a great venue for work functions, client events, team nights, birthdays, Christmas parties, stag dos and group bookings. We can host casual groups through to exclusive venue hire.
Exclusive hire starts from $500 per hour.

Do you offer coaching?
Yes. We have experienced coaches available at Fore Seasons.
Indoor coaching is a great way to work on your game in a controlled environment, with instant feedback from the simulator technology. You can book directly with our coaches through the coaching page.

How does 24/7 membership work?
Members with 24/7 access complete an onboarding session first, so we can show you around the facility and make sure you’re comfortable using the simulators.
After that, you’ll receive an access fob, allowing you to book and play outside staffed hours.

How long is a membership term?
Memberships have a minimum term of 3 months.
There is a $100 early cancellation fee if you cancel before the minimum term is complete.

Can I bring a guest with me as a member?
Yes, member guests are welcome during staffed hours.
If you’re using one of your membership coupons, a $5 member guest fee applies. If you’re booking outside your allocated coupon use, there is no additional guest fee — you simply pay the normal rate according to your membership category.
